I dont understand what you are saying here. I think you mean .class files that are under the WEB-INF folder. The only web.xml I know is an XML file (duh) that is under the WEB-INF Folder. This folder is protected from access by default. Is that what you mean? Do you mean to say that you were able to do:
http://localhost:8080/WEB-INF/com.mypackage.myclass.class ? -Tim -----Original Message----- From: SUBSCRIBE SERVLET-INTEREST Lucy [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, April 12, 2002 11:41 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Stupid Qn on access Hi this is stupid question as I've been labouring under a misapprenhension. I always thought that a servlet's .class files under a web.xml (tomcat) couldn't be viewed on the web. But I was just looking at a site and was able to call up the site's web.xml with all the opening parameters that were being sent to the servlet! Why would this happen, as I thought you couldn't view this? Cheers, Lucy ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff SERVLET-INTEREST".
