We have been trying to upgrade to jdk 1.4.0 and ever since we did we have been getting
SocketExceptions and IOExceptions saying that the connection was closed. I was
wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and if so, were you able to identify
why it happens?

This was code that has been working just fine in production for a couple of years now.
At first my thought was that this was some sort of bug in jdk 1.4.0. It seems to be
happening with other plugins (code we did not write) as well. I have some stack
traces if that would help.

We are using db2 and oracle connections and WebSphere 3.5 with jdk 1.2.2 on the
server-side and trying to use jdk 1.4 on the client-side.

My search on the newsgroups and java.sun.com did not reveal any similar problem.

Any insight would be greatly appreaciated.

TIA
