OK, I know this isn't striclt a servlet/JSP question, but i dont really want to sign up to another mailing list and get another load of emails...
but in a sense its an 'anti' servlet question. im thinking about writing an applet that does client-side work, before submitting the results to the server. Id like the applet to parse a file. As of now, because i want the applet to be embedded in a JSP page which does a file upload, I want to know if there is any way of diverting the HTTP request THROUGH the applet, so that the file can be parsed, or if I will simply HAVE to create a signed applet that reads the file directly from the client's HD...
anyone? S
