Hi Matthew, I've only ever implemented a 1 server solution for our environment. We also did non-SSL since we only hit it internally and I didn't want to add any complexity. How many users are you talking about with regard to capacity needs? We have about 1,300 employees and no issues running off of 1 VM.

Hello, We are building a two-server environment for our Service Manager 2012 portal environment. We have a few questions and are hoping to find the answers here. 1) Microsoft recommends using a two-server environment. Have any of you successfully accomplished this? 2) We are planning on installing it as non-SSL, since it will be for internal use only. Anything to note here? 3) Can we get away with a one-server environment? If so, how many users would be the maximum amount? The two portal virtual servers are Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter Service Pack 1 with 2 processors and 8 GB RAM. They will be added to an existing four-server Service Manager 2012 SP1 environment running on virtual servers. Thanks for any advice! Matthew Matthew J.
