i have a P2-400 with 196MB RAM and my completions are an average of 8.5 hrs.

used SETIcache and make a virtual hard drive in your RAM.  install SETI in
RAM and save power on your hard drive, plus your time will speed up 30%
faster.  My time went from 13hrs. to 8.5hrs. (sometimes I complete  units in
7hrs.)
