I'm working on a new installation, my first using ZEO. I'm installing behind Apache and I'll be installing and configuring CacheFu in the coming weeks. I've been running ApacheBench at big milestones, thus far:
first installed, default Plone site site full of content, bare Zope server site full of content, running behind Apache I haven't done any caching yet. I've got one client running behind Apache (it's live, running on our domain name) and another that isn't. I ran ApacheBench on both of these clients and the one running the bare Zope server is blowing the one running behind Apache out of the water. Here are the results: http://kevinharvey.net/2010/07/13/benchmarking-plone-3-3-5-with-apachebench/ http://kevinharvey.net/2010/07/13/benchmarking-plone-3-3-5-with-apachebench/ Why is this happening? Shouldn't Apache be faster? Is it because the one behind Apache is also live? Am I not using ApacheBench correctly, or should I not be expecting Apache to be making a difference at all? -- View this message in context: http://plone.293351.n2.nabble.com/Benchmarking-with-ApacheBench-unexpected-results-tp5623758p5623758.html Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
