I am seeing a similar problem. I installed Plone 4.0.1 from the Unified
Installer. The only additional products I installed (after the default
installation) are PloneLDAP, LDAPUserFolder, and LDAPMultiPlugins.
Additionally, I installed the simplon.plone.ldap egg.
Created a Plone site, and then installed LDAP Support under Site Setup.
Then, in preparation for connecting to Active Directory, I tried to create
an attribute sAMAccountName and got an error similar to the user above, in
my case, the trace ends with:

KeyError: 'uid'
I tried to find the source for simplon.plone.ldap but wasn't able to track
it down (the eggs are all zipped when I expected them not to be. Will be
trying to unzip them and look through the code and report back if I
notice/can fix something)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
