Hi,

Thank you for the quick response. Last night, I figured simplon was not
working, so I deactivated it (Plone>Site Setup>Manage Add-Ons>Deactivate
simplon), then did the following to enable Active Directory:
1. Navigate to the ZMI (Plone>Site Setup>Zope Management Interface)
2. Click on acl_users
3. Use the drop-down list on the top-right to add Plone Active Directory
Plugin

Using this, I was able to connect to Active Directory.

I will try the plone.app.ldap product today and will try to write a how-to
for others who may be having the same issue.
