My first problem is that I can't determine what version of Plone I have. The version.txt file in the Zope directory says ver 2.7.0 and it says Python ver 2.3.3. How do I determine what version of Plone I have?
The backstory. We let an employee go a number of years ago who setup this great Plone server for us. Now he's gone and I've been left to pick up the pieces. The server is up and running but occasionally locks up. Its a 10 year old piece of hardware that has long outlived our expectations. I would like to move the Plone instance to a new server. I finally gained access to the Zope management interface at which point I was completely lost. So I started reading the Zope 2 documentation. "http://docs.zope.org/zope2/index.html"; Good stuff there. I decided to setup a windows 2003 R2 test server to see if I could do a migration of same version to same version of all three products (Python, Zope, Plone). I found the versions of each that were close enough that I thought they would work. I have Python 2.3.5 and Zope 2.7.0 installed but the files for plone 2.0.5 are not available where it said they were! "http://plone.org/products/plone/releases/2.0.5"; I'm looking for these files now but I don't even know that I'm looking for the right version because I can't find a Plone version anywhere in my system. I just know that the Python and Zope prerequisites are similar for Plone ver 2.0.5. My questions in order if you can help! 1) How do I determine which version of plone I have? 2) Where can I find older versions of Plone releases? They are not available at plone.org anywhere that I can find. The files are just not there when you click to download here: "http://plone.org/products/plone/releases"; 3) If those older versions of Plone are not available, do I have any other options? If I can determine my version, find the same version, install it and then start my migration, I'm sure I'll be able to get things going with the documentions . . . IF. Thanks in advance.
