I think that it's right to consider and declare (possibly in the GUI) a
GRASS reference version (e.g. 6.4.1) and to work with it. It's also
right that gvSIG, OpenJUMP, etc. users will be able to configure an
external GRASS setup, independently from OADE distribution.

I'm totally agree with you about the exclusive use of temporary mapsets.
If someone needs to work with mapsets created by the users, he/she is
able to work directly in GRASS! It seems quite obvious.
