Just to clarify, PAE doesn't have anything with multicore. PAE stands for physical address extension, which allows 32 bit processors that support it to address more than 4GB of memory. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension Unfortunately, certain processors (e.g. Pentium M) don't support it.
