It would appear that my sphere.repo did not get updated. I manually changed 
the repo. I changed the line which contained Fedora_18/repodata/repomd.xml to 
Fedora_20/repodata/repomd.xml. I repeated the instructions at 
yum.savoirfairelinux.com. The KDE client was successfully installed. However I 
still have the same problem. The daemon needs to be manually started before 
running the client. I will look at the document you mentioned to see if I get 
a clue.

One other minor problem, the client does not get installed in the KDE app 
menu.
