Hi Emmanuel The document you referred me to really pertained to installing sflphone in a nonstandard location ( not /usr or /usr/local ) Which was not the case. It did however point me in the right direction. I had built and installed sflphone in the default location ( /usr/local ) but I changed my mind and decided to install into /usr. The file /usr/local/share/dbus-1/services/org.sflphone.SFLphone.service wasn't removed and it overrode /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.sflphone.SFLphone.service. I removed the /usr/local version and I can now launch sflphone-client-kde. Now I need to add the client to the KDE app menu.
