I'm running 1.4.2 and have had ongoing problem lately. When I make an outbound 
call, I can hear the ringback from the other end just fine. Once the other end 
answers, audio disappears. I can't hear the other end, and they can't hear me.

It doesn't matter whether I use a USB headset or my laptop's built-in speaker 
and microphone. I've tried both with and without PulseAudio and the problem 
persists. What debugging steps should I take to work through this problem?

Computer: ThinkPad T520 running Kubuntu 14.10
Audio device: Intel HD audio controller
SIP server: Avaya something (not sure what version the software is)
