Hi Excellencies,

My knowledge about my own telephone call security is limited because I am all
day long busy with war games and the surveillance of other people. Now, I have
bought 1 SIP account at an external SIP provider, 1 headset, 1 computer, and
installed myself Ubuntu 14.04.1 with GNOME and SFLphone 1.4.1. I can make
SFLphone calls without all SFLphone security features.
Additionally, I read:
http://sflphone-doc-security.readthedocs.org/en/latest/01_gettingstarted/security.html
But I do not understand what the 3 security options
   TLS
   SRTP / ZRTP
   SRTP / SDES
are, how they work, what I need to install in order to use.
I read the manual
https://projects.savoirfairelinux.com/projects/sflphone/wiki
but it requires more knowledge than I have now. So I do not understand if I can
use one or several security features and which is the most easiest security
option to use and for which purposes.

My questions:
1) Is KDE better than Gnome for sflphone security in version 1.4.1?
2) Is the software Freeswitch.org one possibility to use TLS transport for my
account at an external SIP provider?
3) Do I still need an account at an external SIP provider if I use Freeswitch?
4) Which of the 3 options is easiest to use for a me with the described
knowledge and hardware:
   TLS
   SRTP / ZRTP
   SRTP / SDES
5) Can I use TLS transport for a phone call to a landline telephone?
6) Can I use SRTP key exhange ZRTP for a phone call to a landline telephone?
7) Can I use SRTP key exhange SDES for a phone call to a landline telephone?
8) Is an account at an external SIP provider no more necessary if I have
Freeswitch running?
9) Is the private key file in the menu TLS transport identical with my GnuPG
private key which I use to sign my emails?

Barak
