(oops, I just noticed that I had forgotten to fix up headers before sending this out first time. My apologies if this gets posted twice.)
Hi Jeff, thanks for your response and thoughts - the demand for /home/macuss was observed during system startup at the moment when Tarantella/SGD is started by smf legacy service aka /etc/rc2.d, rc3.d startup scripts. I assumed that it originates in the web server startup but haven't looked into it until now. I actually stopped debugging when my ad-hoc needs were satisfied by the 5250j terminal emulation. I still have Tarantella on the system but commented it out from legacy startup at the moment. Let me take a closer look at it and I'll come back to you with more detailled information. Some Data: Solaris Express, build 33 with a 3.1 SunRay Software on an x.86 system. It was supposed to be a demo installation on a notebook for a presentation on the usability of SunRay, since wherever I am, I like to advocate SunRay and outline THE desktop solution. In that context, all kind of connectivity Software to whatever may be present at the customer are of primary interest to customers. What I can do is put the scripts back in place, do a verbose boot, and have a closer look which script produces the error message. It must be after automounter is started otherwise it wouldn't care. It did surprise me since that machine only served two "user" accounts, (root, and my own) at the moment I observed this, plus the two accounts needed by Tarantella itself. --Tatjana _______________________________________________ SGD-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sgd-users
