Hello all,
we are using SGD for quite a while now with Macs and PCs for the
clients (Native Client). We are now challenged to bring our unix based
apps (Solaris) to mobile client devices. The Sun website proclaims that
this is possible.
... Solaris OS Workstations, thin clients and mobile devices.
We are just wondering what device would best fit for this need. Is
anyone actually accessing business applications through SGD from a
mobile client? I would love to hear your experiences and what device
you use. We are looking for something like this:
• display (resosultion) as large as possible
• ideally built-in GPS receiver
• UMTS/GPRS (or comparable) connetion to the internet
• portable but much smaller than a notebook
• availability of a native SGD client for the device for
smarter/quicker connection to the business apps
