try checking the "keep launch connection open" attribute for the Windows
app in the Object Manager. More info here:

First off, the option was grayed out, but I was able to change it with the
tarantella command. So I tried that and unfortunately it did not help. However
there was another reply on this topic that suggested setting the application
to use an independent windows instead of seamless. That did work to get rid of
the crashing/disappearing window.
Based on that success, I tried installing the windows enhancement module on
our terminal servers again, by just running through the installer. After the
new install, sgd now opens the application full screen, and it does not
disappear, unless that is you try and minimize the application window.
Furthermore, if you select the middle option (maximize/unmaximize) it shows
the green windows background and I seem to have no way to access my cde
session beneath it.
Even further furthermore, there is another application labeled "Seamless
Window Manager" that gets squished into the upper right corner, and if you
expand it, it looks like a notepad-like application. However as soon as you
let off the mouse button after having clicked on Seamless Window Manager, the
entire sgd session again disappears.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this looks like a problem with the
windows enhancement module. Hopefully user connections and time will allow me
to try and completely remove and then reinstall the module this weekend. I
know I'm curious how this turns out, so I'll mail the list if/when I get any
results.
Thanks, and still listening for any recommendations,
