I've been a member of this list for quite a while now and there have been many good
discussions regarding the need for speed.
I am currently running a 486 DX2-66 STN Router. This machine is however, dieing. I
have a 486 25SX that is Y2K compliant and is reliable and I also have a P-90 that I
can replace my old STN box with.
What I would like to know is:
How much performance difference is there between a 486 SX25 and a P-90 when routing
off of a T1 or a Cable Modem? I was completely happy with the performance of my 486
DX2-66 in this capacity, but will the 486 SX25 be able to perform the same or should I
use the P-90. I do not want to use the P-90 unless there will be a significant
sacrifice in performance by using the 486 25SX.
