I noticed STN has syslog on it... Has anyone configured STN to push system information to another syslog deamon? Also is there any way to get the ipstack to log to syslog? I'd like to beable to log dropped packets, for instance, if someone was to portscan my system i'd like to beable to find in a log showing the ip address, and also possibly a log entry for every port the user had a packet dropped from. I'd also be interested in watching for hits to particular troublesome portnumbers. I was hoping i could use syslog to push all this verbous logging into a fully featured OS running syslog (i.e. sun solaris, or any other unix), and than write a simple perl script to parse through the syslog files, and send reports. The reporting piece is easy for me, mainly its the syslog part from stn that's in question. -Thanks Nathan Obert [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Sponsor's Message -------------------------------------- Discuss Tech News as It Happens!
