Surprise, surprise, surprise!!

As an experiment with the IT guy where I work - I set up my laptop to
connect to my company via VPN - and brought it home to connect thru the
cable connection I have.

He, (the IT guy), was complaining that VPN (PPTP) would not work through
a gatway/firewall that used NAT - as it would fuzz with the packets. He
supposedly was having all kinds of issues with people trying this - and
getting nothing but THUMB!

I tried this with STN - and suprisingly enough not only does it work -
it appears to work quite well!

In fact - I have plugged my laptop in to my local network, grabbed an IP
address via DHCP - and established a VPN connection - all at the same
time that I am using another machine (that is NOT a part of the VPN
link, but is on the same local network, using the same STN box, to post
this message - both occuring without interfearance as if each of these
boxes were the only one connected!

It sure is nice when something works the way it should.

Thanks!

Jim
