Hi all,

Somewhere in the STN docs, I read that I could get an outside service to
translate MYDOMAIN.COM into the current IP address for my external STN
connection. I am currently using TSX.ORG for this purpose. However, I
have to manually make sure that the IP/port number are current. (My ISP
does not provide a static IP, although it only changes about twice a
year.)

"What the world needs" is an IP redirection server combined with a
little piece of software on the STN box that would periodically update
the IP/port whenever the ISP changes the IP number. Thus, it would be
possible to have a web server with a registered domain name that lives
on a LAN behind an STN box. Does anyone know of such a service, other
than TSX.ORG?

And, as it relates, how does STN detect that the ISP has changed my
external IP number? I should note that my external IP is obtained by
DHCP from my ISP. Thus, it would seem that STN would only detect a
change when it is loaded (or restarted).
