[ShareTheNet] Using a HD for the ShareTheNet box?

I have a spare 500 MB hard drive that I would like to use to run 
ShareTheNet.  I would like to do this to improve boot time.  How 
would I go about doing this?  I tried it once before, and it still asked 
for the disk.
