Think I posted this question some time ago, but then things were a bit vague, so here goes again
Could we (john) get STN to forward UDP 137 broadcasts for NetBT Name Services as defined in RFC's 1001 and 1002?
This is a feature often found in windows compatible routers. On my network I use STN to seperate a 10Mb switched private network ( the office workstations) and the 100Mb switched network ( Servers and the lot)
which in turn hooks up to the internet (mutliple T1). Since I still want the internal and external networks to use each others WINS and NEtbios functions I should according to MS, I quote '
..configure the router on the network to forward UDP port 137 traffic.' I guess they mean on all sides and broadcasts.
Can you do anything with this?
