I've got what hopefully will be a quick question.
I have 2 486 pc's with isa and pci. It seems I cannot get STN 2.1.1 to
work with any card other than an ISA NE2000. I've tried using 3coms
(509 isa, 509b isa , 905 pci , 905b pci) and RealTeks (8029 pci , 8139a
pci). It seems they will not load on boot. I've gone in and loaded the
module manually but could not get it to transfer.
I'd like to get these computers to use one of the 8139a's as they are
cheap and I have 5 of them. Any ideas?

I've had exactly the same results. If I use old ISA NE2000 cards in a
vanilla 486 box, STN works flawlessly. I have also tried DLink PCI 530
TX100 and 3COM 3509 cards with no success. Also, I have always set the
jumpers manually before loading STN. Has anyone got any other type of
card to work? In particular, any 100MB PCI card?
