Hello all,

I am new to Share the Net and am excited to get it working. I am not
exactly sure on how to set up some of the stuff in the setup. Here is
what I have:

Type: Network ( I have Road Runner cable modem access. No fixed IP
address, DHCP )
Options: NAT and DNS
Internal Net: STN sees it fine. I can ping the Linux box.
External Net: "DHCP provides Network Info" is selected. I have put
nothing in the DHCP setup on the left hand side of the setuyp screen.
"Road Runner Login" is also checked off and I have put the master
username and password in there. I have tried putting in the "Auth
Server" IP address with no success.

I can ping using an IP address but DNS lookups do not work. I get the
following error messgaes:

(none) named[74]: /etc/named.boot line missing in source file
(none) named[75] syssupport: sendto (198.41.0.4.53) network is
un-reachable.

I don't have such an internal IP address !

....syslog: unknown host. Connection timeout
....rrloginid[316] Unable to connect to server. Unknown error

I have not added any IP forwarding stuff. I don't know how. My goal is
to get internet access, both e-mail and web, to our office employees. I
see via the Web interface that that HTTP service isn't even running yet
the FTP, etc, is. Do I need to manually add IP forwarding lines ? How
do I do this ? Any examples ?

How should I configure my Netscape browser to connect to the internet
via STN, after I get STN running fine ? Do I edit my TCP/IP network
properties of my Windows 95 PC and just add the IP address of the
internal STN network card as the Gateway ?

Thanks for any and all help in advance !
