Cox@Home customer? Maybe the newer modems might not require a reset
(same as unplugging It), but the older ('96 vintage) Motorola Cybersurfr
modems certainly do. Regardless, I think Jason said he was an @Home
customer, so most likely he can use any NIC he wants to at will.

And that is their "Roadrunner" service, right? Where does he live?
I just got a note from John Lombardo and although he didn't say who his
cable company is, he also lives in Orange County, CA. He wrote:
"I now have RoadRunner, and can tell you that they certainly
do _NOT_ tie a MAC to a cablemodem. But the RR service is
not the same everywhere. Some places they require a login
script, for me they don't."
So maybe it would be helpful if RoadRunner customers on this list could
contribute any additional information regarding problems they have had
to overcome that is specific to the way service has been deployed in
their local areas.
BTW, is there anyone in the Atlanta area (or more specifically Gwinett
county) that has had MediaOne Roadrunner service installed and attempted
to use STN with it?
Thanks in advance Roadrunner users.
