I've been reading about the problems that people are having with ICQ and I've been having similar problems: multiple messages, ICQ disconnects and reconnects. I thought the problem may have been that I was using ICQ 99b. My other computer is using ICQ 99a and doesn't appear to display this problem. I've even reinstalled Win98SE due to this annoying problem and plus I had a couple of programs that were not running so I figure it was a good time to do it. Anyway, that didn't fix it either. So I looked at STN v2.13. I swapped out a network card and created a new build from scratch. Problem was still there. The problem seemed to have happened around the same time I started using 99b but what I didn't realize that I think it happened about the same time when going from 2.10 to 2.13. So I went back to v2.10 and SO FAR I don't appear to have any of those problems that people are reporting.
