John I still haven't had a chance to upgrade from STN 2.1.0, to 2.1.3. From what I've been reading on the list I don't know if I want to, ICQ is pretty vital for my work. When I do I'll be sure to post the results, if ICQ starts acting up or not. Anywho, here are my thoughts and suggestions for the next release. 1) A download stat box. Bytes sent and recieved, and total hours online. Stats for the current connection, and extended stats (over months and many reconnects) would be great. This is the one thing I miss about the Win 9x DUN. 2) Support for free dns services. There are several out there, www.ddns.org and a better one at www.justlinux.com are two that I know of. This would help out a lot of people who don't want to pay for dns lookup services such as Tzo. 3) Extended logging, what I mean by this is the ability to view all the past logs on the machine, not just the current screen worth. I know size constraints are a problem on the floppy disk, but I gave up using the floppy drive long ago. Boot times with a hard drive are about 1 minute, without it takes as much as 5. Many people who are running even a lowly 386 for STN have hard drives in these machines. Which brings me to my next suggestion. :-) 4) Support for user designed (I hate to use this word) plugins. There are several people on the list who have written various patches and such for their own personal STN machines, but many of us don't have the technical know-how to instate these, or are just plain lazy. (Me, lazy, never!) 5) Keep up the great work. :-) Thanks, Craig Get your FREE Email at http://mailcity.lycos.com Get your PERSONALIZED START PAGE at http://my.lycos.com _______________________________________________ ShareTheNet maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.webserv.com/mailman/listinfo/sharethenet
