Hmmm,
Having said that I dont have problems with STN and ICQ I am now seeing some oddities :-
As long as the network traffic is light ICQ seems to be able to maintain connections
to the central
site. However, it finds it hard to establish and maintain connections to other users
for
chat/fileXfer.
If the load on the network is moderate to high then it keeps losing its connection to
the central
site and is unable to re-connect.
Doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
I suspect that the reason that I wasnt seeing the problem before was that although I
had 2.1.3
installed my current set of disks may have been created with and early version and it
was only when
I changed the dial prefix and re-created the disks that this started happening.
BTW I wanted to change my E-MAIL address for the mail list. The only way to do this
it would seem
is to de-subscribe then re-subscribe. Having done this though, I am still getting
traffic to my
old e-mail address and none to my new :-(
