Hello,
I am trying to get STN 2.1.3 working with DSL. I have an old 386dx40 w/
2 NE2000 nic's in it. I have the nic's configured properly and all of
my settings seem to be correct. When I boot STN, it loads all of the
settings fine and I get the 'ShareTheNet VERSION=2.1.3' as the last
line. When I run an ifconfig on the box, it shows lo and eth0 but not
eth1. eth1 is my nic that hooks into my modem. I switched the
configuration to switch the cards to make sure one of the cards is not
bad. Both cards work when they
are on my internal network.
Everything I try doesn't get my STN box to get an IP from the DSL
provider. I know my modem works because I hooked it up to my NT box and
was able to get on the net. I am even trying a config file from a
friend who is using the same DSL provider as I am. Still no luck.
Any ideas?
