Sorry, I didn't get that impression from the code. As I said, I am VERY
impressed with the work as it stands (compile, open VMWare and boot was
something I was not expecting when I first tried it). I actually got that
impression from the mailing lists (I have read it from start->end). Sorry if
you feel insulted, I know you have all worked very hard on the Kernel: and I
still say I am most impressed by just how freaken functional it is: it is
amazing. I wasn't stating that I saw it as a "POC", I was stating that I
thought you guys saw it that way (which was a bad assumption, and entirely
my mistake).
I do prefer figuring things out myself. It makes me a better programmer in
the long run and saves you time. Please understand where I am coming from.
And I really do think that not only can this be "like the most awesome OS
ever", it actually already is.
If I can't be this amazing contributor to the kernel, I am sorry. But what I
will expend every effort so that this project gets what it deserves in terms
of a framework and more (including writing an entire website). If you cannot
trust me with the Kernel I will be here for the other stuff, and I
completely understand if you cannot trust me as far as the Kernel goes,
because quite frankly my ASM experience is questionable.
I am deeply sorry if I offended anyone.

Hmm, I thought the current kernel was a POC. I don't mean the 'final

Again, can I get write access to the sandbox PLZ...

Frankly, if in every e-mail you demonstrate a lack of knowledge about the
project and its goals, (without stopping to ask questions first), and then
beg for SVN access - this is actually the kind of red flag that shows us we
need to take your suggestions with a grain of salt.
I can't speak for the group, but I can say from my own point of view, you
need to take a step back, ask some more questions, and read some more
mailing list archives.
The current kernel, I think, is remarkable for how it works, not necessarily
what it does. This project is about a unique methodology, not being "the
most awesomest OS, like, ever". If you've spent some time working in the
kernel, you would know this.
Please sit back and spend some time with the kernel before you insult our
hard work any more. We know we'll have to re-write it. But calling it "POC"
is not a good way to get favor from any of the people here that have spent
hundreds of hours working on it or the AOT.
