I managed to initialize a VGA screen and clear it without using the BIOS.
I used a public domain C program DarxKies pointed me and a bit from
JNodes VGA driver (commented out actually). It looks like a hack, it is a
hack, hard-coded to 640x480x16 only and it does nothing more than a
clearscrean. My objective for now is to simply display a SharpOS logo.
I hope I can make it this year and that the code will be useful to expand
it so it can became a real driver once we know how one should look like.
btw I don't have svn account. Could someone make one for me, please?
