Okay, we definitely need to talk to some JNode people before anyone does
anything else in this arena.
There's obviously alot we can do here, and we haven't had an organized
discussion on the matter.
Does anyone else have any further suggestions, comments, or complaints,
about the general idea of mooching off of JNode, before we open up a
semi-official dialogue?
Our options, I see, are: ignore JNode and do our own thing; analyze their
code a bit to inspire our design; try to follow their design enough that we
can use IKVM down the road to outright run their compiled drivers and
programs; or completely port code altogether.
With porting code, we have licensing issues to consider. With just being
inspired by code, not so much. We need to find something that at least
sounds amenable before we start drawing their attention on purpose.
