Perhaps its sucking oil past the valve guides/seals?

A leakdown test could help confirm this by filling the chamber with air
and using a stethoscope to listen for where the air is going  (up or
down)  Also you could see how quickly the air is leaving the cylinders.

shooting out of the oil filler cap, pushing up the dipstick etc.,???
Also, wouldn't it smoke like hell when you get on the gas? Why does it
only pour smoke at idle, and smoke some on decel?
