Hi Larry,

I don't remember for sure what gears I had problems with, but in the end, it 
was most of them.  I have an 89 TII GTC.  There's a nut on one of the cable 
brackets that came loose on me.  (on the back of the tranny) All I remember is, 
it screwed from the back-forward.  Once this was tight, it shifted fine.  This 
is also a 555 tranny.  I believe I had to go from up above to get at it.  
.(Removing all the hoses and cleaner)  This was about 6 years ago, so I don't 
remember for sure.   All I know is once I found the loose nut, I was mad about 
not seeing it earlier.  At the same time, I found a loose intercooler hose and 
found the turbo I thought was  going bad was good all along.  Then there was 
the cooling fan that was froze up.  The head gasket was good all along.  LOL.  
In less than 1 1/2 hours, I fixed 3 (what I thought were)  "Major" problems.  
To think this car sat for about 2 years because I thought there was lots of 
time consuming repairs ahead.  (I wonder if I let the GLH!
