I fixed the sputtering by moving from RN9YC's to RN11YC's. I checked the plugs (9's) and they were running a little too cold. Moved to the 11's and the sputtering seems to be gone. I am still getting a some hint of mechanical noise like a bad lifter or excessive piston slap at WOT. I cannot tell for certain. However, it is my understanding that piston slap from forged pistons should only be heard at idle (primarily only when cold idle). Can anyone confirm? Thanks, Mike
