There have been questions posted concerning concentrations of SDAC members online in the past, and if I recall correctly Barry posted that the most members by state was in PA, although it was close and waivers periodically due to expirations. Agree with the previous assessments concerning the relatively inexpensive costs. We in the local club take our campers and stay for the entire show. Until the field at gate 6 was temporarily closed this year for construction, we would pay $25 to set up our campers for the entire weekend, and there were portajohns in abundance for anyone needing, regularly maintined. The local fire company was manning the field, and would periodically come by with a piece of apparatus and fill our water tanks for a donation. They provided trash cans and emptied them daily. They did charge for extra vehicles ($5/day). Showers for those needing them are on the grounds, hotels are plentiful but may require a little travel away from the grounds to find a vacant room. We started our Saturday evening picnic tradition last year, held at our campers and it is a great event with even bigger turnout this year.
The DV club performs the interface to get the club tent set up, and if 25 persons paying to bring their cars inside for show list SDAC as their club affiliation, the tent is free. We should easily meet that this year. Hope to see you in the future!
