I'd lean toward Lebarons and Daytonas. I had to replace the tilt in my Mom's '89 Shadow. Virtually identical to an 89 Lebaron tilt. But, the Lebaron had a different mount bracket on the side nearest the driver. These are welded on. Plus, there's a rod that comes out of the column that triggers the machanical ignition switch. This was different even thought the switches are identical. You'd have to dismantle the column just to switch the rod. They're mounted differently because of space under the dash. As it turns out, the 89 Shadow is all by itself. Imagine trying to find a red Tilt/cruise 89 Shadow column. They didn't have a lot of tilt wheels on the older Shadows. I found one in the city and had to drive quite a ways for it. At least it was the right color. Even though the columns are very similar, you better look close. You should be able to call a salvage yard to see what's compatible. Good luck, Larry

I have an 89 daytona shelby TII/555, my tilt steering broke all loose again. This is my second steering column. Can I change it to a non-tilt steering column? If so, which year car and model is compatible with my car? _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Trusted email with powerful SPAM protection. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/177141665/direct/01/ ___________REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING_________ ShelbyDodge mailing list [email protected] http://www.imagilist.com/mailman/listinfo/shelbydodge ___________REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING_________ ShelbyDodge mailing list [email protected] http://www.imagilist.com/mailman/listinfo/shelbydodge
