There in some inverse torx bolts in the column that loosen up over time.  You 
will need the sockets for these.  Disconnect the battery, remove the air bag 
and turn signal switch, the plastic surround on the steering column and the 
ignition key lock and you should be able to get to them.  You may have to turn 
the wheel to get to all of them, there are 3 or 4, I can't remember.  It is a 
pretty straight forward job.  Once I tightened mine I did not have another 
problem.

I have an 89 daytona shelby TII/555, my tilt steering broke all loose again.  
This is my second steering column.  Can I change it to a non-tilt steering 
column?  If so, which year car and model is compatible with my car?
