I had a similar problem with my old 86 Turbo z, I turned a hard left one
time, and she died... turned out to be a bad PM.. So I replaced it,, drove
around.... on another left hand corner a couple days later.. died again..

So after some inspection.. it turned out that the wiring harness had let go
on the pass strut, and when I turned left hard... the power steering pump
was grounding out the main blue +12v power line.... and smoking my Power
modules.... lol

Lesson learned there.. although it took 4 power modules fried before I
figured it out!!
