I had a similar problem with my old 86 Turbo z, I turned a hard left one time, and she died... turned out to be a bad PM.. So I replaced it,, drove around.... on another left hand corner a couple days later.. died again..
So after some inspection.. it turned out that the wiring harness had let go on the pass strut, and when I turned left hard... the power steering pump was grounding out the main blue +12v power line.... and smoking my Power modules.... lol Lesson learned there.. although it took 4 power modules fried before I figured it out!! ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 19, 2011 10:21 AM Subject: Re: SD> lancer died //fixed// > Its funny when I first got the Lancer it had an external reg. and me, > being > me, put it back to stock wiring, that's when I found out it had a bad PM, > that was the first of many PM's being replaced.
