Yes, I can do some work (wan't that obvious ? :-) ). Part of the equation is that "less" is actively maintained by a maintainer+commnunity which means that _some_ issues can be reported to upstream instead of having to figure out the details+fix ourselves (which AFAIK greatly lowers the manpower on our side).
