hi rahav,

this is a public forum for people who use and write code for shimmers; it is not a source for commercial support. please do not confuse shimmer-users (here) with [email protected], which is where you go if you have a direct request for product support from the manufacturer.

as for your assertion that shimmer is "open source" and therefore all shimmer-related software should be "shared": the tinyos codebase that supports the shimmer platforms and its set of example/demonstration/canonical applications of embedded firmware are, and will continue to be open source, released and maintained according to open source custom and practices.

by contrast, software provided directly by shimmer research may or may not be open source, but either way is provided directly for the benefit of its customers and is supported by shimmer research. please contact them directly if you have a request or question about their software applications.

Hi Karol,

This is an old request and a fix was promised by Shimmer a very long
while ago. I think that the calibration app is written in Labview which
works on a Mac. With Shimmer promoted as been open source, do you mind
sharing the code so I (or the community) can adapt it to more than just
Windows?
