Chris Chabot commented on SHINDIG-538:
--------------------------------------

When looking at the test suite gadget, the patch is creating a bunch of new
errors (total error count for a full run went from 25 issues to 46, see
http://opensocial-resources.googlecode.com/svn/tests/trunk/suites/0.7/compliance/reference/reference.xml
 to try it out for your self.

The new issues that popped up are:

New P0 (critical) people related bugs:
People/Person Requests Test Suite :: PPL700
People/Person Requests Test Suite :: PPLX00
People/Person Requests Test Suite :: PPL501
People/Person Requests Test Suite :: PPL504
People/Person Requests Test Suite :: PPL704

I'll take a look at it as time allows during the conference, code looks good
but we'll have to double check whether we're missing some details, or if that
the test case just trips over the 0.7 -> 0.8.1 differences (which is my
suspiscion, but good to make sure:).

> In the 0.8.1 spec revision we decided to align the OpenSocial REST API with
> PortableContacts to improve data portability.
> This means both the src/social-api/opensocial/model's, and the service
> adapter return structure changed to match the specifications.
> See http://portablecontacts.net/draft-spec.html for an overview on
> PortableContact's spec, and
> http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dcc2jvzt_37hdzwkmf8 for some of the changes
> this had on how the REST protocol works.
