Like you saw, we drifted the release for something like 1 month. that's
quite huge for a 3 months cycle. that's more drift that in the end of film
"Frozen" ^^
We did have mainly a two combo effects:
* I did miss the beta phase because I was focus on the Enterprise (but now
I can announce that it's officially out and just great ^^ )
* the RC phase was quite long with bad luck (rc=>bug=>rc=>bug=> etc etc).
But at least we got a stable rc ^^
I did offset the 2.6 release by a month so we have a real 3 months cycle
too, and let's see if 3 months will be OK :D
The 2.6 also have a name now: Outstanding Otter (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ
=== Communication
The lack of time also impact communication (as said by Seb). We did talk on
the github tickets and IRC, but it's a quite restricted visibility.
The blog is a great place for this, but I got some issues with it. It mix
too much things:
* project announces (mainly governance and releases)
* tutorials (they are great, but invisible)
* shinken out of scope things (think about
http://shinkenlab.io/smart-agent/, it's a bit outside the shinken project
in fact, even if it's very interesting I'm sure ^)
That's why I'll cut it and redispatch it into more websites:
* shinkenlab.io or announces.shinken-monitoring.org
* engineering or blog.shinken-solutions.com
* guidelines.shinken-solutions.com

It is about project announces and such things
= engineering :
Things about what my company is doing. For example the agent thing should
be there for example, as it's not related to the framework (it will use
framework API, but the agent is out of the scope of the framework project).
As the first Enterprise version is out, we will be more available to post
in it now :)
= guidelines :
So we can highlight tutorials, but I will also post about Enterprise
tutorials so every one can easily see the differences and choose (I'll post
another mail about this, because it's not *better* than the framework, it's
just a different usage).
I think tutorials are the best way to boostrap shinken. Let's give them a
good visibility (⌐■_■)
I did plan to manage this before the release, but this last one did ask for
more time than I expected, so should be just after I think :)
