MacOS command line problem

When I run Shoes from the shell like this:

$ shoes ./adam.rb

I get a window that says this:

<<inline: pastedGraphic.png>>

Works fine if I just double click Shoes.app and select adamb.rb.

Ideas?

I'm using the curious release for Mac Intel.
