packaging not working on windows

I am unable to get the package feature of shoes operational on windows  
vista. I upgraded to the latest version of shoes and that hasn't helped  
any. The problem that I am getting is that the app runs just fine through  
shoes, but only a blank screen pops up when I run the executable that gets  
set up by the packaging. I even tried doing the packaging on leopard, and  
found that it can package dmgs that work, but that it's windows executables  
have the same problem. In fact, I tried these executables on XP systems as  
well to the same avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
