Well hell. As long as we're into it; how about "spline" for "spine?" And
"dose" for "does?" And "Spaulding" for "Spalding?"

"Lamkin?" "Lampkin?" I don't know about them but there was a brand of condom
called "Lambskin." Maybe that's where the writer became confused. Perhaps he
wanted to roll one on.

None of this really matters in the grand scheme of this forum though. I
recall something we agreed on several years ago; we agreed that in our
grading system, spelling didn't count. It is the content of the message,
rather than the presentation, that matters. Snivelling over misspelled words
and poor usage does nothing to further the goal of this site, and in fact
becomes tedious. I believe we're here to share and discuss clubmaking and
any and all peripheral matters pertaining to the subject.

It seems to me that one thing we don't need here is a self-appointed English
usage cop. Being a snipe is a less than honorable profession.
