Greg, I have never, since I started using SA2000, had that sort of a
problem. I have been using nothing "BUT" SA2000 now for
just over 4 years and have yet to have "ANY" club head fly off and that's
saying something with heat index's of over 125 degrees here in SC and
"LOTS" higher in the trunks of cars.

I also have a
problem with epoxy oozing out around the ferrule. Heat curing seems a
great way to get a quicker cure without the Royal Onyx/SA 2000 worries.
The attention required because of the the drooling epoxy is a pain. I
wonder if anyone has run across the same glitch and come up with a
solution?

Speaking of heat containment, I
forgot to mention that I set the lamp on a cookie sheet to help shield
some of the heat from the top of my workbench. I don't put
anything on the plywood wallboard behind the clubs. I find it
doesn't get as hot as the benchtop.

Thanks for the info! I think this method will be safer than the
Electric heaters I have been using. I use a cement fiber board as a
back stop behind the clubs to somewhat contain the heat with a
thermometer attached.
