Ed, your theory about writing is superlatively naive and has the same
validity as parents' elementary appraisal of their children's
refrigerator-door art.

Does this--X*^?#!--communicate what I think of your comment? And it
defies "writing."

Just an annoying example, Ed. Nothing personal.

The "everyone's feelings" you note have thus far come only from those
without civil concern for the reader and from those indifferent to
language. Their critical frown on language is eerily unrelated to any
critical external referent.

You say you "feel." Too much feeling. Say, rather, "I think." Then,
you can see that the feelings of "everyone's feelings" is a mushy
species of thinking. Think, Ed, think. Anyone can feel.

In retrospect, I guess you now "feel" you should have written "others'"
rather "other's."

Why the high-schoolish caps for emphasis? I know. They "felt" good.
